Instructions
Slide one 6-by-2-stud flat rectangular Lego next to a 2-by-2 stud flat square Lego to make one long flat 8-by-2 stud piece. Place a 2-by-2 stud block on this long piece where the flat rectangle and flat square meet. The block should straddle the meeting point and attach to 2 studs on each flat piece.
Place a small 1-stud Lego with a diagonal side onto one stud to the right of the 4-stud block. The diagonal side should face out. Repeat with another 1-stud Lego on the other remaining hole to the right of the 4-stud block. The flat sides of the 1-stud pieces should be back-to-back and the diagonal sides facing out.
Place a small 2-stud Lego with a diagonal side on the two studs just to the left of the 4-stud block. The diagonal should face out. Repeat with another small 2-stud Lego with a diagonal side on the remaining two studs to the left of the 4-stud block.
Attach a brown, rectangular 1-by-4 stud flat Lego to the last open studs on flat 6-by-2 stud rectangular Lego you started with. The brown, rectangular piece should be placed horizontally (parallel) to the two 2-stud blocks with diagonal sides. Attach the small, flat 1-by-2 stud red Lego to the top of the brown piece.
Press a flat 6-by-2 stud rectangular Lego onto the top of the 1-by-2 stud pieces with the diagonal sides. Place a 2-by-2 stud flat square piece just to the right of the 6-by-2 stud flat rectangular piece.
Attach the 1-by-2 stud lower jaw Lego to the hinge on the red Lego you added in step four.
Place a 1-by-4 stud flat Lego on top of the 1-by-2 stud red piece with the two center studs of the 1-by-4 stud flat Lego aligned with the two studs on the red piece. Then attach a brown 1-stud piece with a diagonal side on the outermost stud on each side of the 1-by-4 stud flat Lego. The diagonal side should face out.
Add the large 2-by-1 stud Lego with a diagonal side to the two studs on the flat 4-by-1 stud piece to which you just attached the brown 1-stud pieces. The large 2-by-1 stud Lego should sit between these two brown 1-stud pieces with the diagonal side facing to the left of the project; this forms the lion's muzzle.
Attach a 2-by-1 stud brown Lego with a diagonal side just behind the piece you added for the muzzle. The diagonal side should face to the right. Attach a flat rectangular 2-by-1 stud piece to the last two studs on the far right-hand side of the body.
Place a 1-by-2 stud black piece onto the large 2-stud piece you used for the muzzle. Attach a brown 1-stud piece with diagonal side to each of the previously attached 1-stud brown pieces with diagonal sides on each side of the muzzle.
Connect the two 1-by-2 stud flat, rectangular pieces with hinged ends to each other. Attach a 1-by-2\ stud flat, brown, rectangular piece to the last stud on the right-most stud on the 1-by-2 stud hinged piece to form the end of the tail. Place what you have just created onto the right-most piece that is already attached to the body (where the tail would be).
Add two 2-by-2 stud flat, brown pieces to the head end of the lion. These pieces should be placed with two of the studs on each piece sitting on top of the black piece you added in step ten. Then add another 2-by-2 stud flat, brown, square piece to the center studs on top of these two pieces.
Make two front legs by attaching a 1-stud block to the back stud of a flat, 2-by-1 stud rectangular Lego. Then attach the bottom hole of a 2-by-1 stud block with a diagonal side to the top of the 1-stud Lego block. Repeat to make the other leg. Attach to the front of the lion's body on each side.
Make two back legs by attaching a 1-stud block to the back stud of a flat, 2-by-1 stud rectangular Lego. Then attach a 1-stud block to the last hole on the 2-by-1 stud piece. Add another 1-stud block to the top of the other 1-stud block. Repeat to make the other leg. Attach to the back of the lion's body.
