Things You'll Need
Instructions
Make a wheelbase using black plates. Make the wheel base for the vehicle as long or as short as you would like, but a typical LEGO vehicle is around 6 studs wide by 12 studs long. Place the plates next to each other.
Build the walls of the taxi out of yellow bricks. Build around the outside of the wheelbase, so that you create an O shape on the plates. If you want to have working doors, leave a gap where the doors will be.
Attach a second layer of bricks on top of the first. Use the layer of bricks to cover gaps between lower layers of bricks so that your vehicle is strong when it is finished.
Attach at least four seat pieces to the vehicle so that your driver and passengers can ride in the car. Attach a steering wheel and a small computer-like device as a taxi meter. Place your LEGO characters inside the car.
Place a row of window bricks around the back and sides of the car. Place a 4x6 plate and a windshield on the front of the vehicle. Attach a large transparent brick or a flat window across the inside-middle of the car, for the plexiglass barrier between the driver and the passengers.
Build the roof of the vehicle out of flat yellow plates. Build and attach a taxi light to the top of the model so that you have a way for the taxi to signal to pedestrians that it is available for hire.
