How Can I Make LEGO Freddy Krueger Claws?

With a big stash of LEGO building blocks, you can create all kinds of things including a large assortment of pop-culture icons. Horror movie icon Freddy Krueger has a scarred face and razor claw glove that he uses to haunt victims in their nightmares. Gather a lot of red and green building blocks to create an authentic looking glove that matches the one used in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series.

Red LEGO bricks
Green LEGO bricks
Brown LEGO bricks
Gray Cylinder LEGO bricks

Instructions

  Build the base of the glove with a flat red LEGO baseplate. The 16--by--16 baseplate works best for the project.

  Line 2-by-3 red LEGO bricks around the edge of the baseplate. If you have a 2-by-2 rounded corner red brick, use one in each corner to make the wrist look more lifelike.

  Layer a series of green LEGO bricks on top of this layer. Use the same amount of red bricks you used for the bottom layer. Continue to use the rounded bricks for the corners. Alternate between the layers until you have three green layers and three red layers. This creates the edge of the sleeves for Freddy.

  Connect two 8-by-11 gray plate pieces to the top layer to build the base for the claws.

  Use a four-sided LEGO piece that looks like a pyramid without the triangular tip. Insert the small side down into the gray panel pieces.

  Attach four sets of 2-by-2 cylinder pieces across the top of the piece. Connect a flat 2- by-3 piece to extend the left side for the thumb of the claw.

  Add a flat-edged slanted cylinder piece to each of the four-claw cylinder base. This will create the look of Freddy's knifes. Place them all in the same direction so they look even.

  Attach a brown LEGO piece on the hanging edge to represent a gloved thumb and complete the creation.
