How to Make TMNTs With Legos

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have their own official Mega Blocks release, but for LEGO collectors who want to create their own TMNT minifigures, you have to use a mix of pieces and other supplies. Once one is created, the model can be used to create the other three turtles to complete the collection. The minifigures will be compatible with any mini LEGO weapons, vehicles and play sets.

Things You'll Need

LEGO minifigure life vests
LEGO minifigure assortments
Black permanent marker
Dark green, blue, purple, red and orange paper
Clear tape

Instructions

  Gather together your LEGO minifigures. Look for all of the dark green body parts. General figures will have an assortment of colors so green is easier to find. Specific sets like the space sets have a couple of dark green alien figures that can be used.

  Attach four sets of green bodies and legs together. Use bodies will no decals on them.

  Slide a LEGO minifigure life jacket over the neck of the figure.

  Add four dark green heads to the figures. These heads are harder to find; you can use any color head and cover them after.

  Cut out four 1/2-by-1/2-inch squares on dark green paper. Cut out small strips of blue, purple, red and orange for the Ninja Turtle head bands. Use a permanent marker to draw eyes on the strips.

  Lay the eyes and head bands over the bottom third of the dark green squares. Apply a piece of clear tape over the top to secure in place.

  Wrap the face paper over the LEGO head and apply another piece of tape.

  Use the black marker to trace the rivets on the life vest. This will create the turtles' bodies.

  Add LEGO weapons to the turtle hands to finish the creations.
