How to Build a Bionicle Moc

Fans of LEGO like to show off their MOCs, or "My Own Creation," many of which are made from old LEGO sets, like those in the Bionicle Series. If you're a big fan of the Bionicle series' parts, you can create nearly anything that you want using the knowledge you've gained from building the sets. A MOC is the kind of project that you can work on easily for 10 minutes, or 10 hours, and draw on inspiration from all kinds of other places.

Instructions

    • 1

Brainstorm ideas for the creation you want to make. Look at ideas from other users or create your own ideas from scratch. Draw inspiration from the creatures, such as those listed in the instruction manual for Bionicle Master Builder, LEGO set 10023.

    • 2

Choose the colors and parts you want to use on your creation and set them aside. For example, if you want him to be blue and yellow, and use the swords from Toa Tahu, the Fire Toa, place these parts somewhere you will be able to find them easily later.

    • 3

Build individual parts of your model, such as the arms or legs. Attach the arm accents, like weapons, to Bionicle pieces to create arm pieces. Repeat with the legs.

    • 4

Click the ball joints into the ball joint socket pieces to make joints you can bend and pose. These pieces make up many of the joints for the model.

    • 5

Build a torso for your model, and attach the limbs to the torso. This is the middle of your MOC, and holds all of the parts together.

    • 6

Attach a face to a mask, and assemble a head for your character. Attach the head to the top of the model, or wherever you want it to go.

    • 7

Create a name and powers for your MOC. Take a photo and upload it to the LEGO website, or one of the online MOC communities, like MOCPages.
