How to Build With LEGO Bricks

While Lego has begun to provide a myriad of different pre-planned building kits, building creations from scratch is still the best way to challenge your creativity. Whether you are five years old, or fifty, building with Legos is easy and fun. In fact, your possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

Things You'll Need

Legos
Large green baseplate
Roof tiles
Flat surface

Instructions

Building a House

  Place legos on a flat surface, such as a table or hard floor. You may want to separate thin and fat legos for ease of use.

  Decide what you want to build. For the purposes of this tutorial, we'll build a house.

  Place thin legos onto the baseplate in a square or rectangle that corresponds with how large you would like your house to be. Leave four squares free of bricks and place a door there.

  Place more thin legos on top of those legos, offset in a brick pattern to avoid cracks. Leave four squares free wherever you would like windows, and place a window.
- 5
  When the house is as tall as you would like, stop placing thin bricks. Begin placing roof tiles on top of one another until they meet at the top.
