  1. Birth to 4 Years Old

    • The least expensive gift for kids up to 2 section is a policeman, at around $5. The most expensive is a Deluxe Train Set at about $120. For 3 to 4-year-olds, a baby zoo is available at about $10. For the same price you can buy a knight and castle building set or a road construction building set. At the other end of the price range of the 28 products for sale is the deluxe train set. A train starter set is available for roughly half the price, at about $60.

    5 to 6-Year-Olds

    • There are 220 possible gifts for 5 to 6-year-olds. The Star Wars Nute Gunray or Kit Fisto key chains cost under a dollar. For about a $1.50, you can buy a deck of pirate playing cards. A public transport system is available for around $100. A passenger train comes in at around $130, and a cargo train is available for nearly $180.

    7 to 8-Year-Olds

    • Another Star Wars key chain is the least expensive gift for children aged 7 to 8, this time featuring Boba Fett. A wedge-shaped brick separator is a useful tool at around the same price. Of the 140 gifts on offer, the most expensive is the NXT intelligent brick at about $150. Referred to as the robot's brain, this is an integral part to a Mindstorms robotic system kit. A Hogwarts castle, costing about $130, might be many 7 to 8-year-olds' idea of fun.

    9 and Older

    • An inexpensive gift for 9 to 11-year-olds is Bionicle the Legend Reborn DVD at about $6. You can buy urban enforcer, rod rider, demon destroyer or smokin' slickster vehicles for the same price. At the top of the price list of 60 items is nearly $280 for the Mindstorms Nxt 2.0 kit that you can use to build a robot. There are plenty of gifts for kids 12 or older; the most expensive item, at nearly $400, is the Death Star, a battle-station play set that includes scenes from Star Wars Episodes IV and VI.
