Frontier Logs Instructions

Frontier Logs are "old timey" toys in more ways than one. These construction kits are for children between 3 and 10 years old. Frontier Logs are made from real wood and kids can use them to construct log cabins, forts and buildings that have an Old West "old timey" feel. These toys are made to be near splinter-proof and have non-toxic dyes for the colors. Assembling them teaches children building skills and spatial orientation.

Instructions

    • 1

Spread the Frontier Log pieces out on a floor or work space. Separate the round logs into sizes or shapes, and keep the colored pieces in another pile. The colored pieces are roof slats and decorations for the main building logs.

    • 2

Set out equal length half-logs opposite each other and connect them with the cross logs. Frontier Logs are notched, and stack into the notches to keep gaps between the logs to a minimum as you build up. Continue to build upwards, alternating the notches as the building gets higher.

    • 3

Place short pieces where doors and windows go, and build the square holes after the short logs. At the top of doors and windows, place a longer log. Stack roof slats onto the round logs via the notches under the flat roof sections.

    • 4

Add red smokestacks and chimneys to the buildings for decoration.
