Things You'll Need
Instructions
Find a work space in your room big enough to lay your roller coaster and spacious enough for you to move around when building. It is easier to work on the floor because the floor is guaranteed not to shake.
Unpack the K'nex Roller Coaster Kit and pick a design from the prints the package came with.
Press each rod into one of the connectors' notches. The connectors have several notches that will position the rod into a certain angle (45 degrees, 90 degrees, 135 degrees and 180 degrees). Connect the rods based on the instructions.
Press one connector into the square slot of another connector to create three-dimensional structures. Attach rods as stated in the instructions and start building.
Attach soft rods to connectors to create curve lines. Some rods are not bendable and are for strong structure support. Separate soft and hard rods before building.
Create rails by connecting the rail tubing to the platform you have built.
Create chain links and put them together. Attach one end of the chain link to the other end to create a circle of links. Base the connection on the design instructions.
Test the completely built K'nex roller coaster by running the car. If the car gets stuck in the rails, flip the car to make sure that the white rod in between the orange connectors is not pushed too far. This causes the car to get caught in the rails.
