How to Make a LEGO Transformer on AOL

"Transformers" started off as a toy line about a giant robot civil war. It was later turned into a TV show and comic book. LEGO construction blocks allow you to build your own creation. It is possible to build a Transformer with LEGO blocks. The more time you spend building the Transformer, the better it will look in the end.

  Figure out what Transformer you want to build. Without this information, you will be blindly going into your construction without any plan of action.

  Find references of the Transformer. You need high-quality pictures that show all sides of the Transformer so that you can accurately construct it.

  Gather blocks that match the design and color of the Transformer you have decided to make.

  Build the base of the Transformer. For example, if you are building Optimus Prime, the Autobot leader, you need to construct a rectangular chest. Most of it is red, but you need to use silver pieces for the grill and bumper. Also, two blue squares need to be used for the windows.

  Build two red arms. For the Optimus Prime example, build legs using silver pieces for the thigh and blue pieces for the shin and feet.

  Construct the head.

  Assemble the Transformer's pieces.

  Paint the Transformer if you want to make it look more like the Transformer you are building. If you are building Optimus Prime, paint the head to have his blue eyes and a line down the center of the bottom of the faceplate like it has in pictures.
