How to Build LEGO Samus Minifig

Lego minifigures are construction toys that continue to grow in popularity. The most prominent feature of minifigures is how easily they can be customized and reconstructed. With the proper tools and materials, the possibilities of minifigure creation are nearly endless. The process of creating female bounty hunter Samus Aran's customized character requires work with paints, molding clay and assorted Lego parts. Creation of a specific character requires a close look at his costume design to achieve the most accurate likeness.

Things You'll Need

Samus Aaran reference picture
Lego space helmet
Model paint
Model brushes
Modeling clay

Instructions

  Paint the whole Lego minifigure with white model paint. Let the figure dry for an hour. Paint the body, legs and arms chrome yellow. Paint the helmet dark red. Let all pieces dry for an hour.

  Study your Samus Aran reference picture and begin to add secondary colors accordingly. Paint the arms and outsides of the legs dull red. Paint the upper torso dark red and the visor of the space helmet neon green. Let all pieces dry for an hour.

  Place molding clay on the shoulders and right arm of the Lego minifigure to add the extended armor and plasma gun of character's space suit.

  Adjust the details of the figure until you are satisified with its likeness. Use the Samus Aran picture as a reference.
