How to Make a LEGO Grill

With LEGO bricks, you can build just about anything. If your LEGO house needs a grill for the back patio or you've built a tailgate party, it's actually fairly simple to build one out of a few simple pieces. In June 2010, several LEGO stores held a Monthly Mini Build -- part of a monthly program to get people in the store with instructions for a free mini model -- with instructions to make a model propane grill.

Things You'll Need

  • Black reflector dish
  • Black light blade beam
  • Black 1-by-1-stud brick with 4 knobs
  • Black rocket step
  • 2 Antennae
  • Gray single-stud piece
  • White L-shaped top
  • White mini head
  • 4 Connector pins with knobs
  • 3 Ventilation plates
  • 2-by-1 plate with single stud
  • 2 Yellow 2-by-2-round plates
  • Red 2-by-2 plate
  • Gray 2-by-2 round plate

Instructions

    • 1

Place the reflector dish on your building surface, and push the light beam blade into the hole in the center.

    • 2

Attach the 1-by-1-brick to the top of the beam blade.

    • 3

Push the rocket step onto the top of the grill base, with the wider bottom of the rocket facing upward.

    • 4

Connect the top to the top of the mini head.

    • 5

Attach the two antennae to either side of the 1-by-1 brick. Place the single stud to the front, and push the top into the back of the brick. Point the two antennae toward the stud.

    • 6

Insert the connector pins into the holes in the top of the rocket step, the grill surface. Place them in a square formation on the top.

    • 7

Attach the three ventilation plates and the 2-by-1 plate with one stud to the knobs on the grill surface. Create a flat grill surface.

    • 8

Build a burger out of the remaining pieces. Use the yellow 2-by-2 plates as buns and the other 2-by-2 plates as the meat and tomato. Place this burger on the single stud on top of the grill surface.
