Things You'll Need
Instructions
Look at a picture of a machete. This will help you understand the basic design of both the handle and blade. It is always a good idea to keep a image of the source on hand. This will enable you to check the visual aesthetics when needed.
Choose the color you want. The handles and blades of machetes range in color. As this one is being built by you, use your imagination and decide on the color you like. For a more true to life LEGO model, choose black, brown or grey.
Pick a LEGO that is six studs long and four studs wide. Also, it should be about two high. This is going to be the first piece of your handle.
Build the handle base. Add five pieces onto the base. Machete handle styles differ in design style. You can look at you source image to get an idea of what you want. If ease is what you want, make the handle edges straight. To do this, ad only pieces to the handle that match the original base piece. Once you are finished with the handle, set it aside.
Build the base of the blade using a LEGO that is two studs wide and four studs long. Add three more identical logos on top. The blade of a machete fans out around the tip, so add increments of extra stud length to each new layer as you build. Go back to your source image to decide upon a desired fan design for your blade.
Attach the newly built blade to the top of the handle. Make sure to center the blade and push down firmly to set it.
