How to Make LEGO Half Pipes

If you're a skateboarder or a rollerblader, you know how much fun a half-pipe or ramp can be to practice and perform tricks. For a small-scale model of this activity, you can build half-pipes out of Legos for your own Lego skate park. Add bricks to it to make it bigger, and use the Lego figurines that come with a skateboard on the half-pipes you build. You can also use tiny fingerboards to perform tricks, and even put the half-pipe onto a larger Lego sheet to add stability to it. It's all the fun of a real-life half-pipe and none of the risk.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 x 4 Lego bricks, 10
  • 1 x 2 roof tiles, 30
  • 4 x 4 plate
  • 1 x1 flat pieces, 6

Instructions

    • 1

Stack five of the 2 x 4 Lego bricks on top of each other. Press down on the bricks to lock them into place. Repeat with the other five.

    • 2

Press one roof tile on one horizontal row of studs on the tower. The slanted portion of the tile should hang over the edge of the tower. Repeat with the other tower.

    • 3

Turn one of the towers upside down. Press the stud on the top of another roof piece under the overhanging part. Repeat this again with five more roof pieces, placing each one under the slated portion of the tile. Repeat with all the roof tiles on both sides of the tower.

    • 4

Connect to two towers by press the 4 x 4 plate piece under the last roof tiles. Turn the half-pipe over.

    • 5

Cover the studs on the place with 1 x 1 flat pieces.
