How to Make Water in Your LEGO City

Building a LEGO city can be an endless endeavor, since the city can always be built on to or modified. You can even build your own seaside or city river with LEGO blocks.

Instructions

    • 1

Sketch out the foundation design for your LEGO city on a piece of paper with a pencil. This will be your blueprint. Draw where you will build the streets, houses, parks and where the waterfront will be. Water can be represented by a lake front, seaside, small pond or river.

    • 2

Begin to build on your foundation using LEGO bases. These are large, flat LEGO squares that you can connect pieces to on top. Refer to your blueprint. Place thin blue bricks on the area that is water. Connect them to the base. The water level should be level, which means the blue bricks should all be the same height.

    • 3

Connect other bricks to the base around your water. Make sure that the area around your water is at least slightly higher than the water level. The area around your water can be green, gray or beige, depending on whether your water is surrounded by fields, concrete or sand.

    • 4

Place LEGO boats on the water or a fisherman or fishermen near the shore to make use of your water in your LEGO city.
