F1 Racer
Construct the base of the car using the race car chassis piece; it's a flat plate with a sunken section in the middle. It was originally located in bag #2 with the rest of the race car parts. Place a red 1-by-2-stud brick in the back of the seat section and attach two 2-by-6-stud plates to the front and rear of the car base.
Place the steering wheel and a hollow angled brick inside the seat. Attach the rear axle and a 4-by-2-stud plate to the back of the car.
Attach the front axle and two hinge plates to the front of the car. The two hinge plates make up the front spoiler. Place the hinges in a T-shape at the front of the car.
Build up the walls of the car using angled bricks and plates. A special angled brick is provided to make up the front of the car. There are two flat flanges on either side of the car for additional aerodynamics and a few Ferrari decals that need to be placed. For an image of these instructions, consult the manual (listed as one of the References).
Attach the front spoiler to the narrow front of the car, made of a 1-by-6-stud thin plate, and a 1-by-6 flat plate. Place Ferrari decals on the front plate. Place the nose of the car over the hinges, so the tip of the nose extends ahead of the spoiler.
Build the rear spoiler out of two C-shaped narrow bricks, two 1-by-1-square plates and two 1-by-4 stud flat plates. Place the rear spoiler at the rear of the car.
Attach a red angled brick at the back of the car to make up the engine cover, which comes right up to the driver's head.
Attach the wheels to the axles. Place a driver in the seat, and the car is ready to race.
Transport Truck Base
Build the base of the truck from the three 6-by-8-stud plates. Connect the plates with black flat 1-by-6-stud plates.
Place a 1-by-16 stud plate along the left side of the base and a 2-by-16-stud plate on top of the thinner piece, expanding the width of the truck. This makes up the floor of the F1 car storage bay.
Attach two 1-by-6-stud bricks with side holes to the front and back of the truck. Build an angled rear section for the truck and a flat nose section for the truck. To see how your truck base should look, consult page 26 of the directions under References.
Attach the grey axle to the rear of the vehicle and make a black axle using the yellow washers and a grey Technic rod.
Make an equipment drawer out of a 6-by-8 plate and build up the sides using 1-by-6 white bricks. Use a 1-by-8 red brick at the front -- a narrow end -- of the drawer. Cover the top in flat plates and the rear wall with a yellow plate. Make two of these drawers.
Build up the walls of the truck base so that they are two studs high with open spaces for the drawers on the right side. Slide the drawers into place and put some of the spare equipment into those drawers.
Build up the wall over the drawers and attach the curved white wheel well pieces to the front of the truck. Make sure you use the red locking hinges at the rear of the truck.
Use the gray curved bricks to make the engine block at the front of the truck and cover the rest of the truck with wide white plates.
Extend the wall of the cab up at the front of the truck, installing spaces for the seats and a steering wheel.
Build up the walls of the truck base. Construct a 1-brick high channel in the center of the truck to keep the F1 car in place while in transit.
Build the nose and grille of the truck using flat plates and provided decals. Attach them to the front of the car.
Transport Truck Roof
Build up the rest of the cabin, including a flat bunk at the back of the cab for sleeping.
Build up the back wall of the cabin and include two 1-by-6-stud bricks with side holes. Install the shorter gray axles between them so that they extend into the truck itself.
Attach the rear section of the truck using the tall bricks and hollow brick wall section. Attach 2-stud-wide plates between these two pieces and along the edges to create a square frame at the top.
Use 1-by-16-stud bricks to make a central roof strut with blue 1-by-2-stud bricks between them for spanning. Place red locking hinges on either side of this to build the wall supports.
Cover the roof using the giant flat plate. Cover the rear section using large red plates.
Use the remaining two giant flat plates to make the side panels of the vehicle. Attach 2-by-8-stud plates and 2-by-10-stud plates to the back to create a support. Place the remaining hinge pieces at the corners of the gap. Apply the side decals.
Build a flat rear hatch using flat plates and the red hinge pieces. Then attach this piece to the rear of the car. This becomes the ramp which the F1 car is loaded through.
Use curved bricks and the bubble-shaped roof piece to make the roof of the truck cabin. Attach the roof section to a pin on the back wall of the truck.
Attach the wheels and load the F1 racer into the back of the truck.
