Road Sweeper Games

In their worlds of make-believe, children want to keep the roads clean, and this is where road sweeper toys come into play. These toys are generally geared towards younger children, who can roll the sweeper truck over imaginary streets or over actual streets in LEGO Playlands or their neighborhood. Since these toys come with small accessories, they are not recommended for children under the age of three.

LEGO DUPLO Road Sweeper Set 4978
- This road sweeper set is part of the larger LEGO DUPLO Ville series, which includes items like trucks, tanker trucks and road sweeper equipment to simulate the workings of a real city. This road sweeper truck is green with a yellow sweeper, and it comes with a man in an orange jumpsuit, who can be manipulated. Other accessories include a shovel, garbage can and extra LEGO pieces for garbage and an apple crate. While the game indicates that it can be played by children ages two through five, there is a choking danger due to the smaller pieces.
Bruder Toys Road Sweeper
- This sweeper is recommended for children ages three and older, and kids can actually use it to sweep their neighborhood street. The sweeper weighs 7.8 ounces, and is red with a black sweeper at the base. Children can operate the sweeper by hand, or attach it to a Bruder truck or tractor. It can be used indoors or outdoors, and is made out of heavy-duty plastic to resist breakage. Rollers are at the base of the sweeper so that it will easily roll on carpet, hard floors or sidewalks.
Playmobil Road Sweeper Construction Set
- This set is recommended for children ages four and up since it has small pieces. It is part of the larger Playmobil Construction Set, which lets children pretend they are working on a real construction site. This sweeper is very box-like in colors of orange, red and gray, and comes with a light on top to indicate that the sweeper is moving. The tank where the garbage is stored can be opened up to add or empty items. Accessories include a man with a hard hat and brushes.
LEGO City Set Street Sweeper
- This street sweeper toy is part of the City Set game, which lets children pretend they are working in a real city, trying to clean it up with street sweepers or garbage trucks or repair it with cement trucks. The road sweeper comes with brushes and a man in a hard hat and orange jumpsuit. It is recommended for children ages five and up.
