How to Build LEGO Star Wars Droidekas

In the "Star Wars" universe, little is more terrifying than the Droideka, or Destroyer Droid. These mobile laser turret robots not only roll into battle in their wheel formation, but they have a personal shield generator which makes them even impossible to hit with direct laser fire. The Droidekas aren't too hard to make out of LEGOs either, but it helps to work off a good image of them.

Things You'll Need

  • LEGO pieces
  • 4 LEGO "Star Wars" battle droid figurines
  • 2 LEGO Binocular Pieces

Instructions

    • 1

Place two 1 by 2 stud bricks with a horizontal stick attached to the side together so they form a 2 by 2 square. Attach a third across the top.

    • 2

Place a 2-stud brick with a single stud on the top across the other half of the square.

    • 3

Stick a 1-stud square piece with a upward-facing hook onto that last brick.

    • 4

Stick three battle droid arms on the horizontal sticks to serve as the droid's legs.

    • 5

Set two 2 by 1 studs with vertical hooks on the front, back to back.

    • 6

Place another pair of 2 by 1 stud bricks with horizontal sticks across the hook pieces. This forms a flat square.

    • 7

Place three battle droid arms onto facing the same direction on the upper stick.

    • 8

Attach a battle droid torso to the other ends of the arms. This forms the head of the droid.

    • 9

Attach two antenna lever pieces to a single-stud square piece with a knob on the front. Attach this, the droid's "face," to the knob on the torso.

    • 10

Place two droid arms on the vertical hooks, and then place two guns in the ends of those arms.

    • 11

Stick the binoculars on the ends of the guns on both arms.

    • 12

Attach the top half of the droid to the legs part.
