Mythological Cities
Create a mythological city resembling a fantastical or faraway place. Ideas for such cities include Atlantis, Valhalla, the land of the fairies, the city of the Troy or an ancient biblical city such as Jericho or Babel. You can read up on these cities before building them, or simply let your imagination guide you. Stack LEGO blocks on top of each other to build towers, walls and buildings. Add magic portals made out of blue and white LEGOS, underwater ships, fairy queens with LEGO scepters and crowns, and mystical islands full of treasure surrounded by a blue LEGO sea.
Some LEGO sets, such as the Johnny Thunder and Adventure series, feature dragons, mummies, jewels, scorpions and snakes. There are also Johnny Thunder LEGO sets that feature ancient tombs and altars. Aquazone LEGO sets come with fantastical underwater contraptions, such as submarines and sea crawlers.
City Under Siege
Create a medieval LEGO city under siege. Research medieval cities and create your own fortified city, or build a LEGO castle and wall with a LEGO Castle set. Surround the wall with a moat to keep out the invaders. The LEGO Castle set comes with a drawbridge that can be raised or lowered.
Create a LEGO royal family, complete with a crowned king, to rule over the castle. Use LEGO figurines with swords, crossbows and knight helmets from the LEGO Castle set to defend the city. LEGO skeletons, dragons, ninjas and evil knights can attack the city. Give the opposition war machines, such as trebuchets and siege weapons. These LEGO figures can be found in different LEGO Castle sets.
City of the Future
Envision the future with a LEGO city. Determine if the city of the future is a utopia or a dystopia. Make yourI city clean and pristine, a veritable paradise, or a wasteland set after a global war. Locate the LEGO city on the moon or a different planet, and have aliens live among the LEGO human figurines. LEGO Space sets include spaceships, space shuttles, rocket launchers and space buggies. LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Mindstorms sets can also provide props for a LEGO city of the future, with robots, light sabers and futuristic-looking buildings.
