Things You'll Need
Instructions
Lay out all of your pieces in front of you. You should have a large moulded base plate to form the bottom of the castle, as well as many small pieces with which to build the walls, towers and portcullis. You will also need some minifig knights to guard your castle.
Build the two small towers for the front of the castle. The towers are made of small 2 x 1 rectangular bricks for the tower walls, angled bricks for the front and crenulated bricks for the top of the towers. Do not attach your towers to the base plate at this time.
Build the two taller towers for the back of the tower. Like the small towers, they are built from grey two-stud bricks, but also use pre-formed wall-pieces with windows. Top off the towers with crenulated pieces for an authentic castle feel.
Build the central chamber. Find the large black flat piece measuring 24 x 12 studs and place it in the center of the main base plate. Using a combination of rectangular and angled 2 x 1 bricks, build up the walls of the chamber to the correct height. Add an arched doorway. On either side of the doorway you can create swivelling pillars with the Morcia crests. Above the doorway, add three small semi-pyramids.
Build the throne room. Take a large grey flat piece measuring 8 x 16 studs. Find three turntable pieces, two small and one big. Place the big one in the center back, and the two small ones on either back edge. Using white angled bricks build the throne on top of the large turntable. Build the walls around the throne room. Add spinning pillars on top of the small turntables.
Build the roof. On top of the throne room place a flat black sheet-piece. On top of the sheet-piece use grey wall-pieces and crenulations to build a tower. Add flags to the top and sides.
Assemble the castle. Place the throne room and its towered roof on top of the central chamber, and press down firmly. Take the four towers and place them in each corner of the main base plate, again pressing down firmly. The castle is almost finished.
Build the portcullis. Find a flat grey sheet-piece measuring sixteen by eight. Using the remaining small grey and white pieces as well as the pre-formed grey arch, build up an archway. Insert the grill into the centre of the archway; this forms the portcullis. Top off the portcullis with some crenulations and flags.
Place the portcullis in front of the walkway on the main base plate. The castle is now complete.
