Things You'll Need
Instructions
Lay the flat LEGO baseplate on a steady surface where it will not slide as you build. A green baseplate gives the exterior of the LEGO house the look of a manicured lawn; a gray baseplate lends a more concrete urban appearance.
Straighten a single Minifig so the arms are pointing straight up and the legs are pointing straight down.
Attach the straightened Minifig to the baseplate by its feet in the exact location that you want the entrance to the LEGO house.
Press 2 x 4 LEGO bricks onto the baseplate to form a single layer square or rectangle with an opening where the Minifig is standing.
Add 2 x 4 LEGO bricks to build layers of the open square or rectangle until the height of the house walls are above the Minifig. Any window openings should be at the eye level of the Minifig.
Build house features like beds and tables with leftover 2 x 4 LEGO bricks or smaller bricks. Use a Minifig to constantly test and measure the scale of the custom-designed pieces. Prefabricated LEGO Minifig accessories like food, books and televisions can help create a home scene.
Pose the Minifigs in the scene as if they were frozen in time while completing a task. Turn each Minifig's head so its eyes are aimed at what it is doing.
