How to Build with Magnetix

Magnetix are building toys for children. They consist of small plastic bars inset with magnets on each end and steel ball bearings. The plastic bars and steel ball bearings cling together and can be used to build small structures and spinning toys. Structures made of Magnetix are pliable and can be easily reformed and manipulated into different shapes. Magnetix are not recommended for children under six due to the possibility of young children choking on the small pieces.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach two plastic Magnetix rods to one ball bearing.

    • 2

Connect a steel ball bearing to each end of the plastic Magnetix rods.

    • 3

Use one more plastic Magnetix rod to join the two ball bearings from step two together. The Magnetix will now be in the shape of a triangle.

    • 4

Take three more plastic Magnetix rods and attach one to each ball bearing so that the rods are sticking straight up.

    • 5

Hold one ball bearing in the middle of the three upright Magnetix rods and gently push each rod towards the ball bearing. Once all three rods have joined the ball bearing, you have created a small pyramid.

    • 6

Continue to join the plastic Magnetix rods and ball bearings together to create new shapes.
