How to Use Magnetix

Magnetix toys were manufactured by the company formerly known as Rose Art Industries, now known as Mega Brands. The Magnetix line has been discontinued due to lawsuits concerning children swallowing the small magnets. Some Magnetix sets have been recalled by the company and by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. If your child's Magnetix toys are part of the recall, Mega Brands will issue a replacement appropriate for your child's age.

  Read the Magnetix recall information to confirm that your child's Magnetix toys are safe. If the toys in your possession are involved in the recall, fill out the Magnetix replacement form to receive safe replacements for your children at no cost to you.

  Check the packaging of the Magnetix set to ensure that the toy is age appropriate for your child. Children under the age of 6 should not use Magnetix due to choking hazards.

  Encourage children to use their imagination when building with Magnetix. The plastic pieces and small balls will cling together to build square structures, pyramids and many other shapes.

  Clean up the play area when the child is done playing with the Magnetix to make sure that no small magnets have fallen out of the plastic pieces as they could be dangerous to younger children.
