Things You'll Need
Instructions
Create the base. This is the bottom of the Tie Advance. Start with a simple 2x4 dimpled Lego piece and build up with pieces that angle upward.
Make the back of the Tie Advance. This will be a semi circular flat disc. Use flat curved Legos and secure them with other flat Legos on the top and bottom. If you don't have curved flat Lego pieces, you can use a rectangular piece. Keep the piece no wider than eight dimples.
Construct the compartment for the pilot to sit in. This will be Darth Vader if you have a figure of him. Build walls straight up with vertical Lego pieces. Next construct a roof with Legos angling downward. Create posts for the Tie Advance wings by allowing longer Lego pieces to stick out of the sides.
Cover the cockpit with some kind of clear Lego. Ideally this should be a round piece of plastic. If you don't have that, you can use clear Legos. These are common in Lego sets.
Craft the Tie Advance wings. This is the most important part of the Lego Tie advance. Start with a long flat Lego piece. Use a 2 x 10 or 2 x 12. If you have Lego hinges, use them to attach shorter flat Lego pieces to the top and bottom. If the middle piece was a 2 x 10, use 2 x 8s. If the middle piece was 2 x 12, use 2 x 10s. If you don't have Lego hinges, use Legos that angle inward. Remember, the Tie Advance wings must angle inward or it is not a Tie Advance fighter.
Attach the Tie Advance wings to the body. Center the body in the middle of the wings. The body should balance evenly and not wobble. Your Tie Advance fighter is now complete.
