Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut a 24-inch by 5-inch piece from the primary color of felt for the tool belt.
Cut a 10-inch by four-inch piece from a complementary color of felt for the pocket of the tool belt.
Lay out the larger piece of felt onto a flat work surface. Measure two inches from the top of the felt and cut six inches in from the left edge. You are creating the belt that will go around the waist.
Cut toward the bottom of the felt piece when you reach the six-inch point to create the front of the tool belt. Repeat with the other side in the same way.
Place the small piece of felt on the large piece of felt centering it on the front portion. Sew around the side edges and the bottom edge with the sewing machine.
Create the smaller pockets by sewing vertical lines from the open edge of the pocket to the bottom edge. You can make these smaller pockets all the same size, or you can make them different sizes to accommodate your child's tools.
Attach the male velcro to one end of the tool belt and the female velcro to the other end of the tool belt to finish. Make sure you attach the velcro pieces so that the tool belt ends will lie flat on each other when attaching the tool belt.
