How to Make a Lego Fence

When a child enjoys small farm animal toys, one way to improve play is to make a Lego fence for the animals. Once you learn how, you can create a horse corral, pig pen or even a large pasture for hours of farm animal fun.

Instructions

  1. Straight Fence

    • 1

Gather a large number of standard eight prong Lego pieces. This is the preferred size, because pieces with fewer prongs are more difficult to work with, and pieces with greater than eight prongs are cumbersome and tend to fall apart easily.

    • 2

Place a Lego piece prong side up on a hard surface. Place a second Lego piece in a like manner, end to end with the first. Pull them apart slightly.

    • 3

Attach the two pieces by placing a third Lego piece on top of the first two. Connect all three pieces by the two end prongs only.

    • 4

Repeat with more pieces until you have the length desired.

    • 5

Connect a piece on one end at a 90 degree angle to form a fence corner. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 until you finish a complete fence, then connect the beginning and end pieces.

    Curved Fence

    • 6

Follow Steps 1 and 2 from the "Straight Fence" section. Connect the northeast corner prong of the first piece to the southwest corner prong of the top piece.

    • 7

Attach the northwest corner prong of the second piece to the southeast corner prong of the top piece. If done correctly, the pieces will have freedom of movement while remaining connected.

    • 8

Repeat the process with numerous blocks until your fence is the desired length. Connect the end piece to the beginning piece.

    • 9

Adjust the fence into the desired shape.
