Instructions

    • 1

Start your base with two rudders made from 1-inch by 8-inch Legos. Attach one of the pieces that looks like a pipe on the third circle of each narrow Lego. The pipe attaches the two. Attach the other pipe in the third circle from the other end of the blocks.

    • 2

Stick smooth top 1-inch by 2-inch pieces between the two pipes. Place a 4-inch square Lego centered on the pipe pieces.

    • 3

Attach a 1-inch by 4-inch block to the back of the square; two of the triangular pieces should go on either side to touch the back piece. A 1-inch by 2-inch piece goes next to the back piece. Four circles of the original square should still be seen. This is the cockpit.

    • 4

Build up the helicopter by laying a 2-inch by 4-inch Lego on the highest part of your helicopter. Attach a long 2-inch by 10-inch piece to the center of this so that the rest of the block points to the back. Lay two 1-inch by 2-inch pieces on either side. Add another 2-inch by 4-inch piece across the front of this in order to hold the long Lego in place.

    • 5

Create your helicopter windshield with a curved plastic piece, attaching the bottom to a 1-inch by 4-inch Lego. Use a special Lego that attaches to the top of the clear plastic. You then join this top Lego to the top part of the helicopter base you've already built.

Get ready to build your propellers. For the top one, it helps to have a square block with a protruding piece to stick the X-shaped piece onto. Build onto the X with 2 long narrow pieces opposite each other and shorter narrow pieces on the other sides. You can make a back propeller if you have a small piece with a protruding tube to the side. Attach it to the end of the helicopter, and slide the Y-shaped piece onto it. You're ready for lift off!
