How to Set Up Struxx Dinosaur

Struxx toys are construction kits made by MegaBlocks. Among the Struxx kits are dinosaurs, including the T-Rex. Unlike typical building blocks, Struxx use couplers, beams and joints to create the model toys. No tools are needed, as the toys are made to interconnect by pushing them together. The joints allow movement with the models, letting children create and play with the dinosaurs in their own prehistoric imaginations.

Instructions

    • 1

Construct the head first. Press the jaw lines together using the joint couplers. Stack the jaws and spine together using the three-balled joints. Align the two jaws and skull together using the lateral crossbars.

    • 2

Mount the electronic eyes into the ball joints on top of the skull. Insert the forehead bars over the eyes so they extend out over the jaws. Wrap the upper skull pieces into the ball joints on the end of the forehead.

    • 3

Push the head assembly to test the joint fixtures and ensure they move up, down and side to side.

    • 4

Make the lower jaw by connecting the lower jaw pieces and the three-bar connector plates. Push the lower jaw into the skull.

    • 5

Connect the long tail bars and create the tapered T-Rex tail. Set the tail aside and work on the body.

    • 6

Make two lower legs using the three-ball joint connectors and the leg bars. This gives the legs three-way movement. Push the four-ball joint connectors into the base of the legs and construct the feet around the bottom ball on the joints. Push the two-toed feet into the leg joint balls.

    • 7

Push the two finger upper arms together and place them into the lower skull via the ball joints.

    • 8

Use the body bar pieces and the couplers to make the T-Rexx body. Push the tail into the body at the large ball coupler. The tail has lateral movement off the ball joint.

    • 9

Mount the motor engine into the spine of the T-Rexx and run the wire up to the eyes and arms.

    • 10

Connect the body, arms, legs and head into the blue motorized couplers that allow the engine to power and move the robot.
