Instructions
Wash the water color marker area of the baby doll using warm soapy water and a washcloth. Clean the doll as soon as the accident happens, if possible. Many brands of water color markers are washable and may wash off with soapy water.
Buy a Magic Eraser and dampen it. Attempt to clean the stained area, following the manufacturer's instructions. Generally this involves firm but gentle scrubbing of the stained area.
Apply a baking soda paste to the stained area. Add enough water to the amount of baking soda used to make a pliable paste. Apply the baking soda paste and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes, then remove with a damp washcloth.
Apply rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball and dab at the water color marker stain, attempting to lift the stain. Check the colorfastness of the doll by dabbing rubbing alcohol on a less visible area of the doll's body before applying it to a stain in a visible area, such as the doll's face. Avoid excessive rubbing in case the stain bleeds or smears.
Spray hairspray on the water color marker stain and quickly wipe off. Or, try sewing machine oil, using the same technique. Use a clean damp washcloth, quickly dabbing at the stain, attempting to lift it.
Apply acne cream with 10 percent benzoyl peroxide to the stained area. Place the baby doll in the sun or under a light for a few hours to add heat to the stained area. Remove the acne cream with a clean washcloth. Repeat if some stain remains. Acne creams can bleach or discolor certain materials. Test an area that is less visible on the doll before applying this technique to a visible area.
