Instructions for American Girl Kaya's Teepee

Kaya is one of many dolls in the American Girl collection. The collection is designed to represent young American girls of all ethnicities and walks of life. Kaya is an 18th-century Native American girl who American Girl describes as "daring and adventurous." Along with the Kaya doll, American Girl offers a variety of different accessories that can be bought for her, such as a teepee called "Kaya's Teepee." As of this publication, the teepee retailed for $118 and could be bought at American Girl stores or online through the American Girl website.

Instructions

  Hold the teepee upright on a flat, hard surface and pull the supporting rods inside of it outward. This will open up the teepee and stabilize it, allowing it to stand on its own.

  Lay one of the two tule mats that come with the teepee against each side of the teepee's entrance.

  Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the campfire that comes with the tepee, using a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the cover. Place three AA batteries inside the battery case as shown inside the case. Replace the cover and screw it closed. Use the switch next to the battery slot to turn the device on.

  Place the campfire in the middle of the teepee.
