Things You'll Need
Instructions
Open the Berenguer doll kit package and lay out the arms, legs, head, body and accessories. Compare the packing list to the items that you have on your work surface to make sure all pieces are included before you begin the stuffing process.
Thread the plastic zip ties (included in the doll kit) through the neck, arm and leg channels of the cloth doll body. To fasten the ends together, insert the flat end of the tie into the square hole end. These ties will secure the vinyl arms, legs and head to the cloth body.
Fill the vinyl arms and legs with polyfill and attach them to the cloth body. Pair the zip tie rings with the grooves on the inside of the plastic limbs, and they snap securely into place.
Fill the zip-top baggie with 2 cups of sand or plastic pellets and seal the top. Some Berenguer doll owners prefer sand because it gives a more realistic baby weight while others prefer the plastic pellets to assist their doll in sitting up because they spread out and create a flat surface.
Place the weighted baggie in the seat area of the doll body though the neck opening. Stuff the rest of the body cavity with polyfill. Be sure to add enough polyfill to completely fill the doll body but not so much as to make the body hard and overly rigid.
Attach the head to the doll body to complete the stuffing and assembly process. You now have a one-of-a-kind Berenguer doll that you brought to life. Dress it in a doll outfit or swaddle it in a blanket before you put it on display.
