Things You'll Need
Instructions
Purchase a new outfit for a doll at a local toy or doll store. If you're unable to find an outfit for your doll at a store, buy an outfit online. Doll clothes may also be found in the toy section of a thrift store.
Remove the clothes from the doll's body and set the doll aside. Hand wash her clothes in the kitchen or bathroom sink with cool water and laundry detergent. Wring the doll's clothes with your hands after washing, and hang the doll clothes outdoors to air dry.
Clean the doll's body with the dish soap and 2 cups of warm water. Dip the tea towel into the soapy water and wring the towel over a sink. Rub or blot the moist towel on the surface of the doll's body to remove grime and pen markings. Pour the rubbing alcohol onto the cotton ball and remove stubborn ink markings from the doll's surface. Allow dolls with a cloth body to dry overnight.
Part the center of your doll's hair with the fine-tooth comb, and separate your doll's hair into two sections. Hold the detangling spray bottle 6 inches away from the doll's hair and point the bottle's nozzle towards each section of the doll's hair. Wet your doll's hair with the detangling spray, and carefully brush knots from her hair with the wig brush.
Allow your doll's hair to dry overnight in an open area of your home. Style her hair once her hair has dried. Tie her hair in a ponytail with an elastic hair tie, or pin the sides of your doll's hair with mini hair clips. Place her new outfit on after brushing her hair.
