Custom Barbie Necklace
Measure and cut 4 inches of clear stretch cord. Tape a piece of transparent tape over one end to keep the beads from sliding off while you're working. Stretch cord is clear, so any type of bead looks good when the necklace is finished.
Thread 10 to 20 beads onto the stretch cord in any pattern with different or like-colored beads. The number of beads used depends on the size you've chosen to create the necklace and the necklace length. The necklace must be large enough to stretch over Barbie's head. Use tweezers to grip small beads. There will be excess stretch cord on each side of the beads for gripping while tying the finishing knot.
Tie the two ends together using an overhand knot.
Squirt a dot of super strength glue onto the point of a straight pin. Gently insert the point into the center of the knot, rotating the pin so the glue is transferred to the stretch cord and knot. Allow the necklace to rest undisturbed for at least 1 minute.
Clip the excess stretch cord near the knot and insert any tails of cord into the nearest beads. Squirt a dot of super strength glue into each bead hole to secure the tails, if any. Let the glue dry completely putting the necklace on Barbie.
Custom Barbie Bracelet
Measure and cut 2 inches of stretch cord.
Tape an inch of transparent tape around one end of the cord. Thread six to eight beads (depending on the bead size) onto the cord. Use tweezers to grip small beads.
Tie the ends together using an overhand knot. Apply super strength glue to the center of the knot with the point of a straight pin. Allow the glue to completely dry before slipping it onto Barbie's wrist.
Custom Barbie Earrings
Insert a bead over a straight pin and push it to the head of the pin, holding the point.
Hold the straight pin by the point and squirt a drop of super strength glue into the bead hole around the pin head.
Hold the pin horizontally so the bead doesn't slide off until the glue is dry. Push the straight pin into Barbie's earlobe until the bead meets the rubber.
