How to Fix Tangled Doll Hair

Dolls have bad hair days, too. Whether the doll is played with a lot or not, its hair will eventually mat and tangle over time from normal wear and tear. This is normally due to improper care and maintenance. If this is the case with your doll, you can remove the tangles and improve the condition of the doll's hair within minutes. Maintaining your doll's tresses will not only uphold the value of the doll, but it will also keep her looking her best for playtime with your little one.

Instructions

    • 1

Fill the water bottle with water. Add a few drops of conditioner to the bottle, and shake it vigorously to mix it. This will create a spray-on, leave-in conditioner.

    • 2

Mist the doll hair with the spray. This makes the hair easier to comb through.

    • 3

Part the doll's hair into four sections using a wide-toothed comb. Create a horizontal part by beginning at one ear and ending at the other. Part the hair vertically, starting at the front of the hairline and ending at the nape area.

    • 4

Pin up each of the four resulting sections separately using the hair clips.

    • 5

Take one section down. Brush the tangles out of the first section of the hair using the wig brush and starting at the ends. Work your way up to the roots, removing the tangles as you go.

    • 6

Release hair from another section. Mist the hair lightly if it is dry. Brush the hair, starting at the ends. Work your way up to the roots, removing tangles as you go. Continue using this method until the doll's hair is completely untangled.

Pull all the hair back into a ponytail, and secure it with a rubber band.
