How to Strip Wallpaper Off a Doll's House

Doll houses can be personalized with a vast array of accessories, including furniture, wallpaper and custom-exterior finishes. Exercise caution to keep the house's delicate surfaces from being destroyed if you wish to remove the interior wallpaper. You can safely remove the wallpaper from your doll house with common household chemicals and tools.

Things You'll Need

Spray bottle
Vinegar
Warm water
Plastic spackle knife
Plastic wrap
Dry towel

Instructions

  Remove all items from the dollhouse. Cover the accessories with plastic wrap if they cannot be removed. This will protect them from moisture and damage.

  Lay one wall of the doll house on the floor; remove the paper one wall at a time. This will help increase the wall's structural integrity.

  Mix a solution of warm water and vinegar in a one-to-three ratio. Place the mixture into a spray bottle.

  Spray the wallpaper you wish to remove; allow the solution to sit for 10 minutes. This will help dissolve the glue adhering the paper to the wall.

  Peel away the paper with the plastic scraper. It might also be helpful to use your fingernails to release the edges of the wallpaper.

  Use a dry towel to wipe away excess liquid and glue residue.
