How to Install Dollhouse Wiring

Electric lighting makes a dollhouse truly special. Even a 19th-century-style dollhouse can be enhanced with electric lights that mimic gas lights, oil lamps or even candles. Other lighted features can be plugged into the wiring system. A lighted miniature Christmas tree is an enchanting addition for any holiday dollhouse, while a tiny television adds a fun touch to a miniature den in a modern house.

Instructions

    • 1

Drill a hole from each room to the back of the dollhouse. The hole should be large enough for the plug on the light fixture to pass through. Position the hole as close as possible to the desired locations of the light fixtures.

    • 2

Pull the paper off the adhesive on the back of the socket board and install it on the back of the dollhouse.

    • 3

Plug the transformer plug into the socket board.

    • 4

Place the light fixtures inside the rooms of the dollhouse. Glue the ceiling fixtures in place as required.

    • 5

Run the plugs from the fixtures through the holes in the back of the dollhouse and plug them into the socket board.

    • 6

Plug the transformer plug into a wall outlet.
