Word Games
Bratz-themed crosswords rely on clues relating to the dolls, their nicknames and related fashion accessories. Have your child locate the names of Bratz girls in a word search. A word scramble utilizes names and themes of importance to characters. Their favorite activity seems to be shopping, so you can guess what types of words will appear: mall, fashion and so on. This last type of game requires a child to think about common themes then mentally reassemble letters into likely combinations, both of which form useful language skills.
Coloring
Yasmin, Sasha and their friends appear on a number of free printable coloring pages. One activity young children will be required to do a lot of in the primary school years is coloring. Teachers watch their students to see if they can concentrate, stay within the lines and combine colors appropriately. Inspire your youngster to practice using colors and following implied instructions (lines) while coloring pictures they will love.
Party Fillers
Although lots of websites hope to sell party supplies, many offer free Bratz-themed party games. Kids will recognize the maze format, which, in this case, gets players from start to party. Have party guests rearrange tiles featuring letters which, when assembled correctly, spell out a message. These types of activities not only encourage thinking skills but also help party planners (parents) to occupy restless guests while getting a new game or a meal ready.
Party Crafts and Games
If your guests enjoy crafts, have them complete some their Bratz dolls would love in real life. For example, make body glitter and lip gloss. Decorate scarves or create jewelry. Old-fashioned games can take on a new twist. For example, instead of hot potato, find a colorful shoe at the second hand store and decorate it to look extra special with glitter or sequins. Then, like hot potato, pass the shoe around to music. When the music stops, whoever holds the shoe is out. Also set to music, pass nail polish around a circle. Make sure all guests take off their shoes. When the music stops, whoever holds the polish paints a toe. The game ends when someone has 10 painted toes.
