How to Get Crayon Off Vinyl Baby Dolls

When dolls and crayons collide, the result of the unfortunate collision may involve stray crayon marks on a vinyl doll. If this occurs, do not despair. The vinyl of the doll is durable enough to withstand careful scrubbing using one of several cleaning methods. With proper cleaning techniques and attention to detail, you can successfully get crayon off vinyl baby dolls and restore their pretty skin to its former clean condition.

Things You'll Need

  • Baking soda
  • Small bowl
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Waterless hand cleaner
  • Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

      Pour approximately 2 tbsp. of baking soda into the small bowl. Saturate the cleaning cloth with water and wring it out well. Dab the wet cleaning cloth into the baking soda and apply the baking soda directly onto the doll’s vinyl skin on the crayon marks. Rub the baking soda gently into the crayon to remove the stain. Rinse the cleaning cloth with water and remove any excess baking soda from the doll’s skin.

      Apply a small amount of waterless hand cleaner to your finger and dab it onto the crayon marks on the doll’s skin. Rub the hand cleaner into the crayon marks with a damp cloth to remove the stains, continuing to work until you remove the entire crayon stain. Rinse away any remaining waterless hand cleaner with the damp cloth.

      Saturate a Magic Eraser sponge lightly with water. Gently rub the sponge into the crayon marks on the doll’s skin, rubbing gently until you remove the marks completely. Wipe the area with a damp cloth.
