Things You'll Need
Instructions
Either purchase your belly plate from Secrist Baby Dolls or Bountiful Baby's. You can purchase from other companies, but these are the two I use. Also You can purchase a used doll from a resale shop.
If your purchase is that of a resold doll from an resale shop you will need to remove the legs and arms, now cut around the arms and legs and neck. I use a razor blade it cuts the easiest. Lay your belly plate on your completed baby doll, size and cut again for arms and legs and neck to fit tightly.
It does not matter if your purchased your belly already cut from a company or from an older doll, you will still have to do little cutting to make it fit perfectly. You will want to paint it with the exact colors you used on the doll you are putting it on. A purchased belly plate will have two wholes in each side of the belly one on top and one on the bottom. If you removed the belly from a previous doll use a whole puncher to make these holes 4 total.
I like to use thin wire to secure the belly plate to your reborn doll. Thread the wire on one side behind the back of the doll to the hole on the other side and twist. Do the same to the bottom wholes on the belly plate. If cut correctly and pulled tightly it will look like the belly was originally there, and by just twisting the wire it is easy to remove for the times you do not want the plate.
