How to Build a Dollhouse Headboard

Measure the width of the dollhouse bed for which you are making the headboard and mark the width on the cardboard.

Draw the headboard's design on the cardboard in an outline that adheres to the measurements.

Cut out the headboard outline.

Trim off any rough edges and polish the sides with the scalpel.

Confirm measurements by holding the headboard up to the doll's bed to make sure it fits properly.

Use a medium-sized paintbrush to completely paint the headboard--including sides and the back--in a base color such as brown, gold or silver.

After the base color is dry, use a small paintbrush to add details to the headboard, such as swirls, hearts, wood grain etc.

Once the headboard is completely dry, line it up to the doll's bed and use small drops of super glue to secure the headboard to the bed.
