Decide whether you'd rather dress old-fashioned movie stars like Lana Turner and Greer Garson or contemporary celebrities such as Tyra Banks and Kimberly Stewart. If you want to buy vintage books of paper dolls, you can try antique shops as well as online stores (see Resources below).
Print out contemporary celebrity paper dolls (see Resources below). Here you can choose from movie stars, rock stars, teen idols, royalty and other celebrities. If you have a color printer, you can simply print out the dolls you'd like as well as the clothing and allow your dolls to share outfits. Laminating print outs or using a heavier paper will give your paper dolls a longer life.
Play with celebrity dolls online. You'll find every celebrity you can think of and a plentiful wardrobe for each star. Simply drag your mouse from the closet to the celebrity to dress her. This is a great activity for teaching young kids how to properly use a computer mouse-with no risk of paper cuts.
Buy Tom Tierney's paper doll books "Red Carpet Fashions of the 1990s" and "Glamorous Movie Stars of the Nineties" if you want a book of paper dolls for more contemporary celebrities. Unfortunately Mr. Tierney hasn't published paper doll books for more modern stars yet.
