Things You'll Need
Instructions
Open the battery cover, install 3 new AA alkaline batteries into the compartment, and replace the battery cover. Press the "On/Off" button on the Artboard to turn it on.
Insert a Smart Doodles activity page beneath the paper clip. Press the red VTECH crayon onto the page to identify the page you have inserted. The Artboard comes with three red VTECH crayons that have been designed to work with the electronic board.
Press the letters. After a Smart Doodles page with a stencil of the alphabet is inserted, have your child trace the letter with his finger, and a song will be heard teaching him the letter stroke order. Since he may not recognize the letters yet, you can guide him through the alphabet. The red VTECH crayon may be used instead of pressing with a finger.
Press the objects. After a Smart Doodles page with the letter A and related objects is inserted, have your child press on an object with his finger or the red VTECH crayon, and a voice will say the name of the object. Its related sound will also be heard. For example, if he presses on the drawing of an airplane, a voice will say, "Airplane," and the sound of an airplane will be heard.
Press the storybook to hear a fun song. For example, after inserting a Smart Doodle page with the letter B and related objects, have your child press on that page with her finger or the VTECH crayon to hear the following storybook: "The baby bunny bounces his ball wearing big boots!"
Press the letters and objects on the touch-sensitive drawing board without a Smart Doodles page inserted into the clip. Have your child press the board with his fingers to learn letters, objects and related sounds. The red VTECH crayons are not meant to be used for drawing directly on the Artboard because they can scratch the board.
