How to Install Tag Junior Dora

The Tag Junior, a device by LeapFrog for children aged 2 to 4, helps children learn how to read in an interactive way. Children press the bottom of their Tag Junior Book Pal to the pages of compatible books and listen to audio. Aside from reading the words written on a page, the Book Pal responds when pressed to other parts of the page, too. But before the Tag Junior Book Pal can work with a newly purchased book, such as "1-2-3 Dora!", you must download the audio so the device knows how to respond to the book's cues.

Instructions

  Install LeapFrog Connect on your computer. When you purchase a Tag Junior, a CD containing the installation software for this program comes with it, but you can download it from LeapFrog's website if you've lost this disk. Once the program is installed, follow its further prompting to set up your Tag Junior and your account. When you're done, the application will redirect you to its homepage.

  Click the icon for your Tag Junior at the middle of the screen.

  Select "Audio downloads" from the menu that appears on the left.

  Select "Download audio" from beneath the book "1-2-3 Dora!" A pop-up menu will appear, letting you know how much time is left before the audio will have completely downloaded.

  Select "Go to On My Tag Junior" when the pop-up informs you that the download has finished. You can also access "On My Tag Junior" from the menu on the left side.

  Connect the Tag Junior device to your computer using its USB cord and press the green power button on its front. When the screen shows that the device has connected, press the "Add" button beside "1-2-3 Dora!"

  Press the "Save to Tag Junior" button on the bottom right of the screen. Wait until the program informs you that synchronization is completed, then press the "Eject" button on the top left. Unplug the Tag Junior from your computer; it is now ready for use.
