Gun, Sword and Saber Replicas
Fall Creek Suttlery is a small, privately owned, Indiana-based company that manufactures a variety of Civil-War themed toys. Pistol, musket and shotgun replicas are made of real wood and metal, with some models designed to fire toy caps. Sizes of replica guns range from a 10-inch long double-barreled pistol to a 55-inch long Enfield Three Band Musket.
Sword and sabre replicas offered by the company include the U.S. Officer Sword and the Cavalry Saber. Although these swords are blunt, they nevertheless require adult supervision, because the blades are made of metal.
Collectible Figurines and Scenic Bases
California's Sierra Toy Soldier Company designs intricate, military-themed figurines and detailed scenic bases on which to arrange historical recreations. Children and adults alike can collect individual Union and Confederate soldier and famous leader figurines, as well as group sets and tiny replicas of cannons and cavalry horses. Scenic bases such as "The Corn Field at Antietam" lend an air of realism to recreations.
