Instructions
Gather questions and answers. The GeoSafari Laptop is designed to handle cards with 10, 12, 14, 16, 20 or 26 questions. If your set of information includes 15 questions, for example, you can either drop one question from the set to fit the 14 question setting or add a bonus question to fit the information into the 16 question setting.
Cut a piece of cardstock to fit the laptop. Trace around one of the premade cards that came with the game as a guide.
In the center of your card, draw or glue an image that corresponds to the information on the card. For example, if you are making a card to drill state capitals, you may want to use a map as a visual guide. Number the states you will be quizzing on this card.
In the instruction manual that came with your GeoSafari Laptop, there is a chart that tells you which button corresponds to each light in each mode. Using the chart as a guide, write the answers on the sides of the card so they line up with the lights on the GeoSafari Laptop. For example, if you are making a card to drill state capitals, in the previous step you numbered the states. On the sides of the card, you would write the capitals that correspond to the numbered states.
Write the code for the type of quiz In a corner of the card. You can find codes for matching answers quizzes as well as multiple choice with two or four options in the manual that came with your GeoSafari laptop. You will enter this code into the GeoSafari Laptop when you insert your card. The code tells the machine how to interpret your child's answers.
