How to Write on a Wipe-Off Magnetic Pocket Chart

Writing on a Wipe-off Magnetic Hanging Pocket Chart can be confusing if you've never done it before. If you use the wrong type of marker, you could permanently ruin the white surface, and knowing how best to get your message up on the board can be confusing. Learning Resources includes several useful tools with the chart, and when you're finished using it, it can be rolled up for easy transportation. Anybody can use the Write-on Wipe-off Magnetic Hanging Pocket Chart.

Instructions

    • 1

Choose a dry-erase marker. You can get many different colors, but the important thing to look for is that they can be wiped off easily. The hanging wall chart's writing surfaces are made from nylon, which is quite easy to clean.

    • 2

Decide whether you want to write on the main portion of the white board or on the provided cards. There are 10 double-sided cards included with the Magnetic Pocket Chart, which can be inserted into the five clear horizontal slots underneath the large white board. If you are writing a story or something with a clear sequence of small points, you may wish to use the cards, but for pictures or long passages, use the large white surface.

    • 3

Write on your chosen surface. If you are writing on the large portion of the board, try to make sure you leave yourself sufficient space for your entire passage. This may require you to write in quite small handwriting, depending on how much you are writing. If you are using the cards, remember that they are double sided. If you have two separate options for one particular space, you can use both sides of one card or two separate cards.

    • 4

Stick the cards in the desired location. There are five compartments underneath the large white board, and the cards also can be stuck to the whiteboard magnetically if you wish.

    • 5

Wipe the board clean using an eraser. This can usually be done with minimal effort, but if the particular mark has been on the board for a while, it may be necessary to use some cleaning fluid to keep your Magnetic Pocket Chart looking crisp and clean.
