How to Assemble a Smart Cycle

The Smart Cycle is an indoor stationary bike that gets a child off the couch and interacting with the television screen. As the child pedals this Fisher-Price bike, the characters on the screen move. An assembly tool and screws for assembling the cycle are included in every Smart Cycle package, but you must supply the batteries and Phillips screwdriver.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn the red seat peg on the side of the bike clockwise to remove.

      Insert the seat into the hole above the seat peg and twist the seat peg counterclockwise into the slot to lock the seat at the desired height.

      Turn the Smart Cycle over and insert the wide front base into the grooves on the front portion of the cycle with the curve of the base away from the seat.

      Insert two screws into the holes provided and screw them in with the screwdriver. Turn the screwdriver clockwise to tighten the screws.

      Repeat the process to fit the narrow rear base onto the back of the Smart Cycle. Screw two screws into the base, turning them clockwise to tighten.

      Screw four #8 screws into the holes through the center console to hold it in place. Turn the screws clockwise with the screwdriver.

      Insert the plug from the bottom of the handlebar assembly into the socket in the top of the central console.

      Lower the handlebar assembly at an angle to the console and push down to engage the tab on the handlebar assembly into the slot on the console. Press the handlebar assembly toward the front of the cycle and then back toward the seat to lock the handlebars in place. Insert two #8 screws into the holes in the front of the handlebar assembly, tightening them clockwise with the screwdriver.

      Insert the threaded portion of the pedal marked with an L into the left axle marked with an L.

      Fit the assembly tool into the end of the pedal, and screw the pedal into place, turning the assembly tool counterclockwise.

      Move to the opposite side of the bike and put the R pedal into the right (R) axle.

      Tighten the pedal with the assembly tool by turning the tool clockwise.

      Turn the Smart Cycle upside down and insert the end of the screwdriver into the screw on the battery panel. Turn the screwdriver counterclockwise to remove the screw. Pull off the battery cover.

      Insert the four batteries, matching the + and -- signs on the batteries with the images on the bottom of the battery holder.

      Replace the cover and screw by tightening it clockwise. Turn the Smart Cycle upright.

      Attach the connector cable from the front of the cycle and insert the cords into the jacks on your television which match the colors on the connectors. The red connector will go into the red A/V port on your computer, yellow into yellow and white into white.

      Plug the game cartridge into the Smart Cycle under the seat to begin play.
