Drawing
Children can draw on the Mattel Doodle Pro Color in any way they choose. Mattel also offers refills of the markers made specifically for the Doodle Pro Color. The color version of the Doodle Pro is essentially just a dry erase board; any dry erase marker will work with the toy. The traditional Doodle Pro has a stylus, however, and does not work with any markers. Make sure that your children do not attempt to use traditional markers with either Doodle Pro. Traditional markers can stain the toy and will not wipe off like their dry erase counterparts.
Shapes
One of the things that makes the Doodle Pro stand out is its use of included shape stencils that can be traced around to create pictures. Show children how to hold down the stencils and trace around them to create shapes and pictures on the Doodle Pro. Shapes on the traditional Doodle Pro can be used like stamps on the screen to enhance drawings.
Erasing
Erase drawings when they're complete (and have been shown around) by sliding the bar on the side of the Doodle Pro screen from one side of the screen to the other. The sliding effect will in most cases erase all of the previous image, leaving you with a blank canvas to create the next picture. If you have trouble removing a picture from the color Doodle Pro, try putting a small amount of water on the screen and sliding the bar to help remove the marker.
