How to Clean the Flocking of My Little Pony

My Little Ponies are adorable toy ponies that have been around since the 1980s and are still being made for kids to enjoy today. Some My Little Ponies, such as the So Soft models, come with a fuzzy layer covering their plastic bodies known as flocking. Over time, the flocking on these ponies can get a dirty or dingy appearance, and cleaning should be done with extra care to ensure that you don't remove this soft flocking.

Place 1 qt.of cold water in a bowl with 1/2 tbsp. of mild dishwashing soap. Add the dishwashing soap as you pour the water in the bowl to help mix it in, and then stir with a spoon to help create sudsy water.

Place your My Little Pony in the cleaning mix and let it soak overnight. Remove and inspect for any stains left behind. If there are stains, apply a tiny amount of white vinegar to the area and lightly rub it with your finger.

Mix a new batch of cleaning solution, and soak your My Little Pony overnight once again to remove the left over stains. Remove from the solution, and run the pony under cold water to remove solution.

Apply 1/2 tbsp. of moisturizing hair conditioner all over your My Little Pony's body and let it sit for one minute, then rinse with cool water. Conditioner will give the flocking a healthy sheen. Stand up your pony and let it air-dry.
