Instructions

    • 1

Cut down a piece of rabbit fur to fit the size of the brooch backing, using a pair of sharp scissors. This depends entirely on the brooch you have chosen. If necessary, flip over the rabbit fur, exposing the hide, and trace the outline of the brooch with a marker so you have a template from which to cut.

    • 2

Squeeze a dot of hot glue onto the front center of the brooch backing. The brooch backing you choose can be obtained from a jewelry supply wholesaler or craft and hobby supply store.

    • 3

Press the hide side of the rabbit fur to the glued side of the brooch backing. Press from the center of the fur and smooth it in an outward motion to ensure that no wrinkles form in the fur. This also allows some of the glue to seep around the edges of the brooch as the fur wraps around it for a seamless effect. Let it dry for 10 minutes.
